Section titled “Role Summary”The Summer Camping Coordinator manages the pack’s participation in BSA summer camp programs — including resident camp and day camp options offered by the council. This role handles registration, communication, and logistics to maximize Scout participation.

Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- Registration: Registered adult leader of BSA; current with YPT
- Inherits training requirements from the Program Chair role
Core Responsibilities
Section titled “Core Responsibilities”- Promote summer camp opportunities to pack families early in the spring
- Coordinate pack registration for summer resident camp and day camp
- Communicate camp dates, costs, packing lists, and health form requirements
- Collect registrations and fees (coordinate with Treasurer)
- Attend any required pre-camp leader meetings
- Arrange transportation to and from camp if needed
- Recruit adult volunteers to serve as chaperones or unit leaders at camp
- Follow up with families post-camp to gather feedback
